Farmville/Zynga Lawyers asked that I hand over my domain due to the fact that the name farmville was in the url. Although Farmville itself is not a copy right, the game farmville is in the games category. Because I had links to game guides on my site, Zynga’s legal team contacted me with a letter stating I would be facing a law suite and looking at fines of up to 100000. I did not realize at the time of the site creation that I would be in this type of situation. The legal representative was more than kind during a phone conversation and explained that though my site did look primarily like a true fan site, I still had links that would possibly lead to revenue.
